On 4th October 2017, the Cambridge News reported on the Cambridge City Council planning application for the Jenny Wren public house.
'Cllr Martin Smart fears there will end up being no pub at all. He said the Jenny Wren used to be a "really nice family pub", full of lovely people. He said there is a space the developers "might" use as a pub, but no guarantee. Milton brewery had been the headline group billed to take over. Cllr Smart said he understands they are no longer interested as it's not considered "viable".'
Milton Brewery has received no contact from Cllr Smart, nor have we commented on the application since our statement to the planners of 4 August 17 in which we stated :
"The design as now proposed is eminently viable with regards to both the pub and the management flat." Our submission can be seen in full under application 17/0927/FUL.
We are at a loss to explain how Councillor Smart could misrepresent us so completely.
